Frank Lampard has officially become the new head coach of Championship side Coventry City after signing a contract until 2027 football.

Coventry City have confirmed the appointment of Lampard as their new head coach. Signing a two-and-a-half-year contract, with Joe Edwards and Chris Jones joining their coaching staff.UFABET  

Lampard takes over as head coach of Coventry from Mark Robins, who has been in charge for 7 years. The team is currently 17th in the Championship and his first job will start. When the team welcomes Cardiff City to the Coventry Building Society Arena this Saturday.

The 46-year-old has experience of managing Derby County in the Championship. Before taking charge of Chelsea in the Premier League in 2019. But failed to make an impact. As well as managing Everton and returning to manage the Blues on an interim basis.

Coventry decided to sack Robins on November 7, at the time in 17th place. And his current position in the table remains unchanged.

An announcement on Lampard’s appointment will come after Saturday’s (23 November) home clash with Sheffield United.
